Security, Inc. is a thinly veiled social commentary that pokes fun at the fearmongering and classism of our modern day society. We find an Employee, just having been fired from his employer when they “right-size” the company (the politically correct form of downsizing). The Employee is in his office packing up his “personal” belongings. Frustration arises as he is not allowed to access anything owned by the company; his phone, computer, even his own desk. There is a Security Guard present, ready to escort the Employee out of the building in ten minutes’ time. As he attempts to pack, the Security Guard begins to recruit the Employee into Security, Inc. to work as a guard. Those in power are starting to fear those without it more and more these days. Security is a booming business; it could be a good fit after having just lost his job. The frustration and willingness to buy into the fear of others is now a market in our society, and this Security Guard is about to bring one more Employee onto the task force.see less
